the heirloom quilt

this was started by my mother's mother pictured in the black and white photo below she became very ill and passed away before she was able to finish the quilt. all that was completed by my grandmother was the star. my mother kept it in her cedar chest or many many years my sisters and I were able to sneak it out of the cedar chest and gave it to my husband's mom to finish to give to my mom on her 70th birthday it was a great surprise. in the picture on the right of the picture in red is my mom behind the quilt is my husband's mom to the left is my aunt my mom's sister there is one other sister that could not attend the wonderful birthday surprise celebration unfortunately I did not get the quilt after my mother passed away my oldest sister has it for now

Vintage wedding doll set

pictured in black and white is my maternal grandmother creater of the dolls in 1946 she gave them to my mom (pictured in the second photo) on her wedding day my mom gave them to me on my wedding day and I then gave them to my daughter on her wedding day the tradition holds as years go by the current owner gets the dolls themselves only after the previous owner has passed away so they are in my posession at this time
