This was my mom's it is made of wood believe it or not and the strings are the handles it still has all of her goodies in it now they are my goodies *smile*
Hi! I just found your blog and I wanted to comment and tell you how beautiful your mom's sewing box is. I am the proud keeper of my grandma's sewing box. I use it as a functional sewing kit, and I have added some of my supplies to it, but I refuse to take any of her things out of it. It just makes me feel connected to her, even though she died when I was only 12 (I am 37 now.). Your ripple afghans are just amazing too.
